Collabs

Collaborations with universities and storytellers that have sharpened how we research and how we tell the story of what we find.

Academic

  • Carnegie Mellon University, Human-Computer Interaction master’s class, with Dr Steven Dow. Dr Dow tested how our software compared to Mechanical Turk and other crowdsourcing-style platforms. The results of his study were published and presented at CHI in Paris.
  • UC San Diego, Cognitive Science, with Dr Steven Dow. Besides Dr Dow training our staff over three months, we have hired him as a consultant on Microsoft projects.
  • Wharton, MBA, with Dr Martin Lautman: students were given access to Fabric to generate, and test, startup ideas. Some ideas went on to get funding.

Guest speakers

  • Lisa Shufro, Chief Storyteller for John Doerr’s Measure What Matters, an ongoing guest speaker to inspire our storytelling.
